What Is a
Dental Implant?

A dental implant is a tooth restoration solution consisting of three essential components: the titanium implant post, the abutment, and the prosthetic crown. The titanium implant post is surgically placed into the jawbone, fusing with the bone over time, creating a sturdy foundation that mimics the root of a natural tooth. This integration ensures stability and prevents bone loss, promoting oral health.

The abutment connects the implant post and the prosthetic crown, securely holding the crown in place. Finally, the prosthetic crown is the visible part of the dental implant, meticulously crafted to match the appearance and function of a natural tooth. While your final restoration can be made from many materials, we craft ours out of zirconia to ensure you enjoy a lifetime of durable, healthy smiles. Dental implants are widely preferred because they offer a permanent and lifelike solution and various options, such as single implants, implant-supported bridges, and full mouth dental implants to restore any number of missing teeth.

Single Implant

Implants can be an excellent alternative to crowns for restoring a single tooth that has experienced significant damage. With their durable and long-lasting nature, dental implants offer a reliable solution that closely mimics a natural tooth’s look, feel, and function. Patients can regain their dental aesthetics and oral functionality by replacing the damaged tooth with an implant.

Implant-Supported Bridge

In cases where multiple teeth are broken or missing, an implant-supported bridge can effectively fill the gap and restore dental function. By placing dental implants at strategic positions and anchoring a custom bridge onto them, patients can enjoy a stable and natural-looking solution for replacing multiple teeth. This implant-supported bridge improves the smile’s aesthetics and ensures proper biting and chewing abilities, enhancing overall oral health and quality of life.

Full Mouth Dental Implants

Considered the gold standard in tooth replacement, full mouth dental implants offer a comprehensive solution for individuals missing an entire arch of teeth. The restoration is securely anchored by utilizing four or more strategically positioned implant posts surgically placed in the jaw, providing stability and functionality comparable to natural teeth. Full mouth dental implants not only restores the aesthetics of a complete smile but also enhances oral function, allowing individuals to eat, speak, and smile confidently.

What To Expect On Your Journey To Dental Implants!

A Smile Designed Just for You

Crafting a completely personalized smile begins with a conversation led by Dr. Jason Collier. We thoroughly evaluate your dental health, discussing your dental concerns and smile aspirations through dental implants. We’ll even obtain digital X-rays and cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) scans in our smile design lab to meticulously examine the bone structure, nerve tissue, and sinus cavities to ensure the suitability of dental implants, particularly for full-mouth dental implant cases. Once your customized treatment plan takes shape, we schedule your procedure.

The dental implant placement process is completed in just one day. Under your chosen sedation, Dr. Collier utilizes advanced digital technology to position the implant posts within your jawbone. Once your implants are placed, an abutment will be attached, and your temporary set of teeth will be set on top. Over the next 4-6 months, your implants will fuse with your jawbone through osseointegration to ensure a durable foundation for your smile.

Once your mouth has healed and your implants have fused with your jawbone, we’ll place your final, hand-crafted zirconia prosthesis for you to enjoy for decades! With regular checkups and proper at-home hygiene care, your implants can last a lifetime, allowing you to enjoy a complete, stable, and healthy smile.

Putting Your Best Smile Within Reach

We understand that dental work can be a significant investment. Still, it’s essential to consider the factors contributing to its cost, such as high-quality materials, precise surgeries, and personalized smile design. While opting for the cheapest price for implants may seem tempting, it’s important to remember that not all implants, crowns, or veneers are created equal. Investing in long-lasting, high-quality dental work ensures durability and prevents the need for frequent repairs in the future.

At Southern Dental Implant Center, we prioritize the longevity and quality of your smile and oral health over short-term savings. Investing in superior dental work pays off in the long run. Our starting procedure cost reflects the personalized care and attention to detail involved in each treatment plan. We provide third-party financing options and flexible payment plans to make quality dental care accessible to everyone.
