Meet Jason Collier, DDS

Headshot of doctor

Jason Collier, DDS

Dr. Collier has been fixing smiles for decades. In 2008, Dr. Collier joined Southern Dental Implant Center in Cordova, TN, and purchased the practice in 2009, where he has continued to practice for the past 15 years.

He specializes in the Memphis area in providing the full spectrum of implant dentistry solutions, including IV sedation, advanced bone grafting, single and multiple implants, snap in dentures, traditional all on X screw retained treatment (having now progressed to a fully digital workflow with an in-house lab.)

Since late 2022 Dr. Collier is also currently providing the new Locator Fixed treatment option, which provides patients with a more cost-effective full arch fixed solution with a stronger prosthesis while also providing clinicians with a much easier restorative and removal process.

Teaching Experience

Within three years of graduation, Dr. Collier began lecturing to local doctors in the field of cosmetic implant dentistry, leaning heavily on the restorative aspects, teaching Mid-South doctors about different abutment and attachment systems for removable and fixed implant dentistry.  In particular, the Locator abutment system was a major portion of this teaching, showing the full restorative process for dental students and practicing doctors..

Education

Perhaps standing as the odd man in school, Dr. Collier became known as the unusual guy who thoroughly enjoyed his education, graduating from the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry in 2007.  While at UT, he excelled in his academics and laboratory training and was selected among his peers to assist in teaching underclassmen in the fields of gross anatomy, prosthodontics, and restorative dentistry for his 2nd, 3rd, and 4th years in school.

After graduation, Dr. Collier quickly gained progressively advanced training in implant dentistry, IV sedation, and comprehensive restorative dentistry, training under industry leaders such as Dr. Jaime Lozada at Loma Linda University, Dr. William Locante at the University of Tennessee, Dr. Mike Pikos in Palm Harbor FL, and Dr. Frank Spear In Scottsdale, AZ.

Dr. Collier also received more advanced training at the Medical University of South Carolina, Duquesne University, the University of Alabama Birmingham, as well as many, many other trainers and institutions.
